Flying kites for the first time....

Today we flew our kites. Sis has a "Hello Kitty" kite and Elijah
has a "Spiderman" kite. It didn't last long though. The kids said
it was boring. They didn't quite have the attention span for it
just yet I guess. They had more fun picking up rocks and playing
in the dirt. I think Will and I had more fun then the kids did.

More river fun...

After we went to the river on Father's day...the kids just could not stop talking about it. When we asked them what they wanted to do this weekend, they said "Go BACK TO THE RIVER!"...so that is what we did. We didn't get to stay long though because it started to rain. We had enough time to skip and throw rocks in the river, collect shells, and take a little walk on the bike trail. I'm sure this will become a regular thing for our family. The kids love it!

Here is "Hulk" daddy...he'll probably kill me for posting this...Oh well...

Our little monkey...

This is Elijah's newest big accomplishment. He has been practicing all spring. He has been able to do it since June 4th, but I'm just now getting around to posting a video clip of him. He says he can do it now because he turned 5 and he is big now. Great job Elijah! I told you practice makes perfect! We are so proud of you!

Father's Day.....

Today was Father's Day. We had a great day. When we first woke up the kids were busy making all kinds of cards and pictures for daddy. Then they finally went up stairs and woke him up. They could hardly wait to give him the goodies they had made. They also picked out model cars at the store to give to daddy to put together. After we all got ready for the day, daddy wanted to go to the Loveland bike trail and take a walk. We had so much fun playing at the park and walking down the path to the river. The cicadas were everywhere and so noisy! One landed on sis's nose and she went cross-eyed while screaming! It finally flew off and we all just started laughing...even sis. It was so funny and cute. After the trip to Loveland we all went back home, showered and got ready and then went to "Toot's" for a Father's Day dinner. We had a great day. Happy Father's Day Daddy! We had an awesome time with you today! We love you!

I also want to tell my own dad, "Happy Father's Day...I miss and love you so much!" I thought about you all day and all the memories I have of Father's Day with you. I wish I could have spent some of the day with you...It was so good to talk to you and hear your voice today.

LMYSA...Here we come!

Today we signed Elijah up for the fall season of LMYSA....(Little Miami Youth Soccer Association). He is so excited! (I think we are just as excited to see him play). He loves to play soccer and this will be the first organized team he will play for. I guess this will make me an official "soccer mom"????

Second pool experience...

Today we decided to try out the swimming pool again.
This was a much better experience. The kids were brave
and actually got all the way in! They had a great time!

Elijah's family birthday party...

Today we had a small birthday party for Elijah. Daddy didn't get to see him blow out candles on his actual birthday and Grammy and Papa were coming into town, so we decided to have a mini-party. Elijah and Adrielle helped make and decorate the cake. We had a good time. My cousin Eric, his wife Lori, and my Aunt Gail stopped by too. Grammy made Elijah a very cool Toy Story blanket...he loved it! He said it was his favorite gift of all. He also got a soccer ball and 2 goals. I think Elijah made out well this year...2 parties and lots of nice gifts. We still can't believe he is 5!We love you Elijah!

Elijah's Build-A-Bear Party!

This year Elijah wanted to have his birthday party at Build-A-Bear. He invited 7 of his good friends. He had a blast! They each got to build an animal of their own, named and decorated their animals, played a few games and sang "happy birthday" to Elijah. It was such a cute party. After the fun Build-A-Bear, we all went down to the lower level of the mall in the food court area and had cake and ice cream and opened gifts. He was so excited and had a big smile on his face the whole time. After it was all over Elijah's said "Thanks so much mommy. That was the best birthday ever!" After the fun at the mall, Bootsie (Elijah's Great Aunt Gail) went with us to Toys R Us to pick out a toy and then he chose to go to Frisch's Big Boy for a birthday dinner. Thanks you so much Bootsie for watching Ezra during the party and for setting the table up for us! You are the best!

Elijah's first presents of the day....

When Elijah woke up, we let him open the gift from the May's that came in the
mail a few days ago. He could hardly wait! Thanks so much for the cool spiderman
toy and clothes Aunt Terri, Uncle Jeremy, Shayla, Alysha, Makenna, and Javan!

Then he got to open the gift from daddy since daddy was not going to be able to make it to his Build-A-Bear party because of work....

Cool army guys and a big troop carrier truck! Elijah was so excited!
Thanks so much daddy! Just what I wanted!

Elijah is five!

Today our sweet little boy turned five. We can hardly believe it!
