Our first pool experience of the year...

The kids were a little hesitant...they did manage to put their feet in. It was really cold water though. I think it'll take a while for the kids to get used to swimming again.

Our little model...

Today Elijah and I had a special date together. We went to the library and then to the little store beside the library. We had to get his friend David a birthday present because Elijah is going to his party this weekend. Before we left we told Adrielle we would bring her back a surprise. She was so sad we were going out with out her. While shopping I found this cute little sundress with a matching dress for her doll. It was so cute! It was only $5.99 too...even better! Elijah also picked out a lollipop for her. Elijah and I had a great time together. I think Adrie liked her dress too. She even slept with it on tonight. She asked me to take a picture of her with her doll. She was so cute posing, I just had to post it.

Memorial Day at Poppy and Nanny's...

Today we spent the day at Poppy and Nanny's house. Aunt Jackie, Uncle Bob, Jack, and Gabe were also there. We love spending time with our cousins. We had a cookout and then Aunt Jackie took us down the hill to the creek behind nanny & poppy's house. The kids climbed rocks, climbed over fallen logs, threw rocks, climbed trees, and took a hike. This was the first time the kids had ever been down there...I think it is going to be something we are going to have to do every time now. They had a blast! Especially Elijah, he still hasn't stopped talking about it. Mommy came down with us after she was finished eating. We spent almost 2 hours down there. We had a blast!

A Warm Sunny Day!

Today it was beautiful outside! It was the perfect day for a picnic and swimming, so that is just what we did. We enjoyed the weather all day. (Mommy ran in a few times to keep track of the Indy 500 though).

Elijah's closing preschool program...

Last day of Preschool...

Yesterday was Elijah's last day of preschool. He graduated from the four-year old class. He had a graduation ceremony in the class room. It was so sweet. I had to hold back tears the whole time. His teachers this year, Miss Linda and Miss Brenda, were wonderful. He will really miss them. He has learned and grown so much. They had an end of the year picnic and a chapel program as well. Nanny Jo was able to come and watch too. He looked so grown up and he did a great job. (He actually participated this year and wasn't to shy!
Congrats Elijah! We love you and are so proud of you!

Adrielle playing tee-ball

Today the kids practiced hitting the ball and running bases with daddy. They love tee-ball. Adrielle looked so cute swinging the bat.

Ezra's no longer crawling around...he is walking!

I just realized I have not posted a video of Ezra actually walking on his own. He has been walking for a while now. He started taking steps on his own at about 10 in a half months...then the 6 ear infections he has had slowed him down. His equilibrium was off and he kept falling because he felt so dizzy. Now that it has been almost a month since he has had an ear infection, he has finally regained some confidence and walks everywhere. He hardly ever crawls anymore. He is getting so big...also notice the new "do"? We finally cut his hair with the clippers for the first time. He looks so different! Where did my little baby go?

Our play date was cancelled, next best thing...McDonald's!

Yesterday we were supposed to get together with our friends Amy Lobo and her 3 kids. She was coming up to Cincinnati from Louisiana. The long drive did not go as she had planned and we had to cancel the play date. The kids were super bummed, so I cheered them up by taking them to McDonald's for dinner and to play. Ezra had a blast. He tries so hard to keep up with the other two. He was all smiles tonight when I let him climb a little bit too. We hope to catch up later this weekend with Amy & the kids :)

Mother's Day Tea

Today Elijah had a special mother's day tea for me at his preschool. It was so sweet. He made a special hat for me. He made a neat paper flower in a pot and they wrote a little note to us. He pulled out the chair before I sat down and even served me punch and cake. The class sang songs (I will post a short video next). It was such a precious program. Elijah looked and acted so grown up. On the note that he wrote, the teacher asked the questions and wrote down his answers. This is what it said....

"A Great Mom"
My mom is 22 years old.
Her hair is long and brown and her eyes are blue.
She is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful mommy.
My mommy's favorite color is pink.
My Mommy's favorite thing to wear is her white wedding dress.
My Mommy loves to cook pizza.
My Mommy hates to do clean our house.
My Mommy's favorite T.V. show is "American Idol" and The Young and the Restless".
My Mommy's job is to clean the toilets.
My Daddy calls my Mommy "Kims".
My Mommy always tells me "I Love You".
Something that makes my Mommy happy is, when I clean up.
When my Mommy goes shopping she likes to buy fish stuff?
If my Mommy could go on a trip she would go to Grammy's and take jammies.
I really love it when Mommy and me play video games together.
She's the Best!
I Love You Mommy!

So cute! I had a great time and I will always remember it. I love you Elijah! Thanks for making our day so special!
