My Birthday...

Today was the best birthday ever! When I woke up this morning, Elijah and Will went to run errands. Once they got back I was told to stay upstairs for a while. When I got called to come downstairs there was a birthday party ready for me! There was a cheesecake (my favorite), a happy birthday banner, candles, balloons, flowers, and presents waiting for me. It was so sweet! They have never gone all out like this for me. I was amazed and so excited! I got tears in my eyes. Adrielle made me a card (the best kind) and Elijah decorated the kitchen with his toys and made me a card. It was so cute! Will got me three different shirts and a cool pair of jeans (which are now my favorite pair). We all had cheesecake for lunch. After we all got ready and dressed, we went shopping and then to "Friday's" for dinner. While we were sitting down at Fridays, my good friend Tracy and her family showed up. I was so surprised! Will had called her the day before and had it all planned out. Thanks you so much Will for a great day! I felt so loved today and it made getting a year older a little more bearable for me. It is a birthday I will always remember!

Jesus is alive!!! HAPPY EASTER!

Here we are dressed in our Sunday best for Jesus! Happy Easter everyone!

The Easter bunny paid us a visit!

Last night we put our Easter baskets on the table empty and we woke up this morning and they were full! We were so intrigued! The Easter bunny was really good to us. He even hid eggs all over our house. We had tons of fun this morning searching for eggs and looking at all our new goodies in our baskets. Then at breakfast mommy sat down with us and talked to us about Jesus and what He did for us and reminded us why we celebrate Easter. He is alive!!!! We love you Jesus and thank you for dying for us, what a sacrifice!

A trip to Indianapolis...

Today Ezra and I went to Indy to watch the high school basketball state championship game. My high school (Triton) boys basketball team won state for the very first time ever. My first cousin Carrie An's husband, Jason Groves, is the coach. It was so good to see old friends and lots of family! Papa and Grammy got to spend a little time with Ezra. Congrats Triton, and Jason for a great game and exciting win!

Today we colored and decorated eggs!

We made a snowman!

Over the weekend we got tons of snow (like 10-15 inches)! We actually were snowed in on Friday night and all day Saturday. Elijah started getting sick and didn't get to go out and enjoy the snow with Adrie over the weekend, but today he was feeling much better so I let him go out and play. Lil Ezra wanted to go out with them so bad. He stayed by the patio door and watched and banged on the glass until it was his nap time. It was cute cause Elijah and Adrie stood by the door and played with him. After Ezra went down for an afternoon nap...I finally went out and helped the kids build a snowman. They have been begging all winter for me to help them make one. We had a great time, but I got so cold! A lot of the snow melted and it was very wet and sloppy out. I need to get some snow boots and snow clothes for this kind of stuff. Mommy is such a whimp when it comes to cold weather.

Snowsuit hand-me-down....

Doesn't Adrie look so cute? If you look closely at the name on it, you'll see that this used to be my snowsuit. My Grandma Kay (Adrie's Great-Grandma) made this for me when I was a wee little girl. It is so neat to see Adrielle in an outfit that I used to wear. She actually looks a a lot like me in these pictures too. I have pictures of me wearing it and when you put the two pictures side by side, we look a like! This will be a snowsuit that we will always treasure and hopefully pass down to future generations :) Thanks Grandma Kay! We love you!
